Privacy Policy
Effective date: 18 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Aimatee (“Aimatee”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Aimatee mobile app and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile (such as your name). We use this to create and secure your account.
- Profile and goals. Information you provide during onboarding — for example your role, English level, and what you want to practise.
- Content you create. Messages you send to AI agents, and transcripts of voice calls and meetings you take part in.
- Voice audio. When you use voice features, your speech is processed to generate a text transcript so the agent can respond. We do not use your recordings to identify you.
- Memory. To let your AI crew remember you across sessions, we store summaries (“memories”) derived from your conversations and profile.
- Device and usage data. Limited technical data needed to operate the Service, including a push-notification token if you enable notifications.
- Product analytics. Anonymised usage events (for example, screens opened and features used), crash and error reports, and masked session recordings (in which text inputs and images are obscured) that help us understand how the Service is used, diagnose problems, and improve it. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Privacy → Anonymous analytics.
How we use your information
- To provide, personalise, and maintain the Service.
- To let AI agents remember context and adapt to you over time.
- To generate English and pronunciation feedback.
- To send notifications you have enabled.
- To monitor quality, reliability, and cost, and to prevent abuse.
Service providers
We rely on trusted providers to run the Service, and we share only what is needed for each to do its job:
- Google — sign-in, subscription billing through Google Play, and push notifications.
- Cloudflare — application hosting, data storage, and networking.
- AI model and speech providers — to generate agent responses and to convert speech to and from text.
- PostHog — product analytics, error tracking, and masked session recordings, to understand feature usage, diagnose issues, and improve the Service. You can opt out in the app under Settings → Privacy.
- Internal analytics — we trace AI usage to monitor quality and cost.
We do not sell your personal information.
Payments
Subscriptions are purchased and managed through Google Play. We do not collect or store your payment-card details; Google processes payments and shares limited purchase status with us so we can unlock your plan.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account from within the app at any time; doing so removes your profile, conversations, and stored memories from the Service, subject to limited records we must retain for legal or security reasons.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit access to it.
Children
Aimatee is not directed to children. You must be old enough to form a binding contract and to consent to processing of your data in your country to use the Service.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
